Impostazione Hotspot con Lycamobile

To use your Lycamobile SIM for hotspot (tethering) on an iPhone in 2025, you generally need to enable the personal hotspot feature and ensure the correct APN settings are configured. Here is how to do it for common Lycamobile regions (UK, USA, Italy), based on the latest 2025 information:

Step-by-Step Hotspot Setup

1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
2. Tap Cellular (sometimes labelled as "Mobile Data").
3. Ensure Cellular Data is enabled.
4. Tap Personal Hotspot (if missing, see APN setup below).
5. Toggle Allow Others to Join (or similar).
6. Set a secure Wi-Fi password for your hotspot.

If ‘Personal Hotspot’ Isn’t Showing: APN Setup

• Go back to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network.
• Under “Personal Hotspot” and “Cellular Data,” enter your Lycamobile APN as follows (according to your country):

• Leave username and password blank unless specified for your country ^{[6] [7] [11]}.

After entering these settings:

• Go back to the previous menu. The iPhone should now show the Personal Hotspot option. You can enable it and connect devices as usual ^{[1] [5]}.

Important Notes:

• Ensure your Lycamobile plan permits hotspot usage; not all plans or data bundles support tethering ^{[1] [4]}.
• If you still do not see Personal Hotspot, restart your iPhone after saving APN changes ^[9].
• For optimal speed, confirm your iPhone’s mobile data is set to LTE or 5G in Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options ^{[2] [6]}.

Troubleshooting:

• If mobile data or hotspot does not work, double-check APN details (a single typo can prevent connectivity) ^{[6] [11]}.
• For persistent issues, contact Lycamobile support or request automatic configuration via SMS (available in several EU countries) ^[11].

If your country is not listed, check Lycamobile’s local website or use the regional APN from your starter SIM pack—most current APN values follow the same “data.lycamobile.[countrycode]” pattern. Always confirm your plan supports hotspot to avoid restrictions.
