Come vedere latitudine longitudine?
To find the coordinates of a location, follow these steps:
- Open the Google Maps application on your Android device.
- To place a red pin on an unlabeled area of the map, tap and hold the area.
- You can view the coordinates in the search box.
To determine the longitude of a place, you can use a simplified measurement method using a clock (or preferably a stopwatch) and a sundial. The time in Greenwich should be indicated by the clock. The longitude (15° for each hour) can be calculated simply by reading the local time from the sundial and calculating the difference with the clock time.
The magnitude of the angle of the meridian between the equator and point P can be used to calculate the latitude of a place. This angle at the center ranges from 0 (if point P is on the equator) to 90 degrees (if point P is at one of the poles).
You can use the following formula to find the latitude of the sun: The position of the sun is equal to 90 degrees minus its latitude, plus or minus the declination of the day. Alternatively, after measuring the height of the sun, you can use the formula: latitude = 90 – sun’s height +/- declination of the day to calculate the latitude.
The symbol "°" is used to indicate degrees of latitude. Continuing north from the equator, the parallels increase by one degree up to 90. The ninetieth parallel corresponds to the North Pole. Lines above the equator are indicated with the letter "N," for example, 15°N.
The hour angle is calculated by considering the angular displacement of the sun from the local meridian east or west, caused by the rotation of the Earth on its axis. The rate of this displacement is 15° per hour, with a negative direction in the morning and a positive direction in the afternoon. For example, at the local time of 10:30, the hour angle will be -22.5°.
Declination of sunlight is the angle that the sun’s rays form with the Earth’s equatorial plane, positive if the sun is above the plane (graph). The variation ranges from +23°27′ (summer solstice, June 21) to -23°27′ (winter solstice, December 21).
The rays are at the equator at 90° latitude 0°, while at the North Pole they are tangent at 90° latitude 90° N. At the Arctic Circle, the rays are inclined by 23°27′, which is equal to 90° of the latitude of the place 66°33′ N. This also occurs during the autumn equinox. Therefore, how can we measure the parallels and meridians? Calculations using a cartographic ruler.
To do this, place the ruler with zero on the southern parallel, while where it says 2.5 should go the northern parallel. Look for the point of interest to find the north value.
Generally, right ascension is measured in hours, minutes, and seconds and occurs along the celestial equator, starting from the gamma point and having a counterclockwise direction of travel. The angular distance between a point in the celestial sphere and the equator, measured along the hour circle passing through that point, is known as declination.
