- First, use a USB cable to connect your Android phone to a PC.
- Wait for a few seconds, and once it is detected, you will see a popup that says "Open folder to view files".
- Now, locate the DCIM folder where you have saved your photos, and then copy and paste these photos onto your computer.
- Make sure to connect the new Android device to the Google account where you have saved the backup.
- Install WhatsApp and open it before verifying your number.
- To recover chats and media files from Google Drive, select RESTORE.
- Continue after the restoration process.
- To recover deleted photos from your phone, simply click on the top left icon and choose the Trash option to access the Google Photos trash.
- Inside, you can restore recently deleted photos from your phone by clicking directly on the photo and selecting Restore.
Starting from June 1st, 2021, if your storage space is full or exceeded the limit, you will no longer be able to backup additional photos and videos. Your content may be affected if you exceed the quota for 24 months. Please refer to our guidelines for more information on storage space quota.
Google Photos for Android and iPhone has an automatic feature that alerts the user when the phone’s memory is full. You can choose to delete some photos and videos in this case to free up space without losing them.
After uninstalling the application, your photos will not be saved unless you have deleted the copy from the device. However, you will not be able to access those photos from other applications in the gallery if you have deleted the device copy to reduce the amount of space on the phone.
- In the Gallery application of your mobile device.
- In the Google Photos selection.
- In your albums.
The files are still physically present on your disk when the Trash is emptied. They remain intact until new data overwrites them. Once overwritten, the only way to recover them is to create a backup.
You can use a free application called "Digger of Folders" to recover deleted files from any Android device. You can do this on your smartphone or PC, regardless of the device.
If you want to access the DCIM folder on your Android phone, go to the File Manager. Then, choose "Menu" and "Settings" and select "Show hidden files". Next, access the DCIM file in the mntsdcard folder. It is a common folder that stores photos and works with any camera or smartphone.
