To restore data backups from Google Drive, there are at least two ways:
- Manual Download: Download the necessary files manually.
- Google Takeout: Use Google Takeout service to create a separate archive containing all the backups.
To open an MBOX file, follow these steps:
- In the Windows MBox Viewer sidebar, click on the MBOX file name.
- Click on the title of each message contained in the MBOX file to view its content.
- To save a message as a file, click on it.
To convert an MBOX file to PDF:

Google has added Gmail and Calendar as downloadable data with Google Takeout service. To download the entire Gmail archive and calendar:

To create a backup copy of email:
- Select "File".
- Go to "Open & Export".
- Choose "Import/Export".
- Select "Export to a file" and proceed.
- Choose the Outlook data file (PST) and proceed.
- Choose the email folder for backup and proceed.
To extract email addresses, use the Easy Email Scraper Chrome extension:
- Go to the page and click on "Scrape" to get the list of emails.
- Once obtained, copy and paste it wherever you want to use it.
To save a Gmail correspondence as a PDF file:
- Click on the printer icon in the top right corner.
- Choose the PDF printer and press the "Print" button to start the saving process.
To recover backup files:
- Open the phone’s Settings application.
- Choose "Google Backup".
- View the "Backup details" section to see the saved data on the device.
To restore from a Google Drive backup:
- Ensure that the new Android device is connected to the Google account where the backup was saved.
- Install and open WhatsApp, then verify your number.
- Tap "RESTORE" to restore chats and media files from Google Drive when prompted.
