To disable Google Assistant on your Android device, follow these steps:
- Launch the Google application.
- Select "More" from the menu.

- Disable the "Access with Voice Match" option on the screen to deactivate the "Ok Google" command.
To enable or disable Google Assistant on the lock screen, follow these steps:
- Say "Hey Google, open assistant settings" on your Android phone or tablet.
- Click on "Lock screen" under "All settings".
- Choose whether to allow or disable the assistant on the lock screen.
To change the OK Google settings, follow these steps:
- Tap on "More" at the bottom right.
- Select "Settings" and then "Voice".
- In this section, you can choose the language and enable or disable voice search when saying "Ok Google".
- Click on "Finish".
To remove Google Assistant, follow these steps:
- Go to "Settings" and select "Google Assistant".
- Choose the "Assistant" tab on the new screen.
- Scroll down and select the device name you are using, such as your phone.
- Toggle the "Google Assistant" option to OFF.
To disable the timer on Google Home, follow these instructions:
- Launch the Google Home application.
- Click on the "Settings" icon and select "Digital Wellbeing".
- Choose the schedule you want to modify.
- You can disable or make the desired changes.
- Finally, click on "Save" to confirm the changes.
To disable Google Assistant with headphones, follow these steps:
- Say "Hey Google, open assistant settings" to access the assistant settings or directly access the assistant settings on your Android phone or tablet.
- Look for the "Personal" section in the settings and click on "Headphones".
- You will find the "Voice notifications" option. You can select and disable this option as desired.
Option One: Press the volume keys for a few seconds. Select the device’s Settings application. Go to Accessibility, then TalkBack, and then turn off TalkBack.
To activate voice search, open the Google application on your Android device.
- Tap on your profile picture or the initial in the top right corner.
- Click on "Voice Match" under "Hey Google".
- Enable "Hey Google".
Note: On modern Android smartphones, Google settings are scattered across various sections of Settings or within the Google app. After opening the Google application, you can access the settings by going to "More > Settings".
To disable the voice assistant on Android, follow these steps:
- Launch the Google app to disable the Android voice assistant.
- Tap on the thumbnail in the top right corner to access "Settings > Google Assistant".
- In the opened screen, select "General".
- Confirm that the toggle for the Google Assistant option is set to OFF.
