To disable the Wi-Fi signal on your device, follow these steps:
- Select the "Wi-Fi Settings" option after accessing the home page of your device.
- Click on the Wi-Fi option in the Wi-Fi Settings menu to disable the Wi-Fi signal.
To disable the Wi-Fi network on the modem, follow these steps:
- Connect a computer to the modem and router using an Ethernet cable.
- Access the modem and router settings.
- Find the options to disable the Wi-Fi network.
- Follow the instructions on the page to change the network settings.
- Disable the 5GHz and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks in the WLAN Activation section.
To disable the 5GHz Wi-Fi on a TIM modem, follow these steps:
- Go to the Local Network menu on the modem’s main page.
- Click on the WLAN section to control the Wi-Fi networks.
- Follow the instructions on the page to change the network settings.
- Disable the 5GHz Wi-Fi network in the WLAN Activation section.
To turn off the TIM modem, follow these steps:
- Press the power button on the back of the TIM HUB modem, located near the power socket.
- This will turn off the device momentarily.
- Press the power button again to turn it back on.
The Wi-Fi button on the TIM modem allows you to turn the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi signals on and off.
- The power button for the Wi-Fi signals is located on the front, near the LEDs.
- The WPS button on the side allows for quick and easy connection of devices to the Wi-Fi network without manually accessing the wireless settings.
To enable Wi-Fi on the TIM modem, follow these steps:
- Use the Settings menu on your device to enable Wi-Fi.
- Find the Wi-Fi network name on the label.
- Take the Wi-Fi/LED button on the modem and quickly release it.
To disable the 5GHz Wi-Fi connection, follow these steps:
- In the Wireless Network Configuration section, select the 5GHz band.
- To disable the wireless connection, choose the "Disable" option under "Wireless".
- At the bottom of the page, click the "Apply" button to confirm the disablement.
To disable one of the available Wi-Fi networks, follow these steps:
- Click on the Wi-Fi section and then, in the left menu, click on Settings.
- Select the network you want to disable (2.4GHz or 5GHz) at the top and click the "Disable" button.
To switch your Wi-Fi from 5GHz to 2.4GHz, follow these steps:
- After logging in, visit the settings of the TIM modem.
- Go to the Local Network section and then the WLAN section, which allows you to control all wireless networks.
- In the Details, you can enable or disable the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless connections.
When you turn off the modem, not only will you save money on your electricity bill, but the router will also be turned off for a while. Additionally, if the router antennas are not actively working, you will not interfere with other electronic devices in the area.
