To create PDF files that can be filled out, follow these steps:
- Start Acrobat: Select the "Tools" tab and choose "Prepare Form".
- Choose a file or scan a document: After reviewing the document, Acrobat will automatically add form fields.
- To insert new fields in the form:
- Save the fillable PDF form.
To fill out a questionnaire using Word, follow these steps:
- Select the "View" menu in Word and choose "Toolbars" > "Forms" to enable the display of questionnaire tools.
- A sidebar containing questionnaire tools such as checkboxes, text fields, and other elements will appear.
To add a password to an Excel file, follow these steps:
- Open the workbook or sheet to protect.
- Select the "Review" tab.
- Choose "Protect Workbook" or "Protect Sheet".
- In the Password box, enter a password, then enter the password again in the Confirm box.
- Finally, click OK and choose other preferred protection options.
To lock cells in Excel using a password, follow these steps:
- Select the cells to lock in the worksheet.
- Use CTRL+SHIFT+F to display the Format Cells popup window.
- Select the Locked box in the Protection tab and click OK.
- In the Review tab, click Protect Sheet.
To lock cells in Microsoft Excel with a password, follow these steps:
- Select the cells to lock.
- To access the Format Cells popup window, click the arrow in the Alignment group on the Home tab.
- Select the Locked box in the Protection section.
- Click OK to close the popup.
To modify a read-only Word file, follow these steps:
- Click the Microsoft Office button.
- Make a selection of tools.
- Select General Options.
- Check the Read-only recommended box.
- Click OK.
- Save the file.
If the purpose is to protect all cells in the worksheet so that none can be modified, simply click the Review tab and then the Protect Sheet icon.
To protect and make the PDF document "read-only," click the "UPLOAD PDF" button. Then, as shown in the following illustration, click on SETTINGS in the top right corner to enable the "PDF Protection" function. You can enter the desired password after selecting the "pdf protection" box.
One way to create a corrupted file is to copy the original file and use an editor to modify the content of the copied file. The file saved in this way is corrupted because it is no longer readable correctly.
To add or replace a watermark in an open document (Windows only), select Tools, Edit PDF, Watermark, and Add.
- In the dialog box, click "Add Files", then choose "Add Files".
- Click OK to close the Add Watermark dialog box.
