When XML files are stored as text, their content can be viewed and read by any editor without decoding it first. Right-click on the XML file and then choose the "Open with" option from the popup menu.
The simplest way to view data in p7s files is to use the Windows certificate manager. P7s files only contain information related to the digital certificate, unlike p7m files which contain a digital signature within them.
Open the file with the digital signature you want to see. Click on File, then Information, and then Signatures. Click on the name of a signature in the list. Choose to view the signatures.
Select the PDF file and click on "Sign" to sign a document with a digital signature. Then, from the dropdown menu, select the type of signature to use, for example, .p7m. After entering the smart card pin, click on "Sign" again. Finally, wait for the message "Document signed" to be confirmed to complete the procedure.
To sign a PDF document later, open the document or form using Acrobat or Reader. Then, in the right panel, click on Fill and Sign. In the toolbar, click on Fill and Sign.

Unfortunately, there are currently no methods for Android to open P7S files with a digital signature, except for Apple Mail. However, there are several options available for computers. The file can be sent to the client and retrieved on the mobile device once opened.
P7S files are not necessarily opened. Email management applications like Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, and others use them internally. Digital signatures are supported by most email applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, and Mozilla Thunderbird.
