To activate or deactivate QuickPath on your device, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Select General.
- Tap on Keyboards.
If your iPad keyboard is not working correctly, try the following steps:
- Make sure that your Smart Keyboard Folio or Smart Keyboard is properly connected to your iPad.
- Check if you have the latest version of iOS or iPadOS installed.
- Restart your iPad after disconnecting and reconnecting the Smart Keyboard Folio or Smart Keyboard.
To configure the Android keyboard, follow these steps:
- Download the keyboard from the Play Store.
- Access the Settings menu by tapping on the gear icon.
- Select System and then Language.
- Tap on Virtual Keyboard to activate and set it.
To restore the normal keyboard and configure it, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Language & Input.
- Choose the Default Keyboard option.
- Select Configure Input Methods.
- Activate the desired keyboard and go back to the default keyboard selection screen as mentioned before.
To switch between keyboards on your phone, follow these steps:
- Press the keyboard symbol at the bottom right (or the globe or space bar) while typing.
- In the pop-up box on the screen, select the name of the keyboard you want to use.
To remove the on-screen keyboard completely on iPhone, follow these steps:
- Place your finger on the last "bubble" of the keyboard.
- Drag it downwards until the keyboard disappears completely.
To write ordinal numbers like 1st and 2nd without writing the word in full, follow these steps:
- Long-press the number you want to make ordinal.
- Select the corresponding option that appears, which is usually displayed as a reversed "e".
If you frequently need to write symbols and special characters on your iPhone, consider installing the free app called "Symbol" from the App Store. With this app, you can manually browse the symbol library or search for a specific symbol.
Here are additional instructions on how to modify the keyboard configuration:
- Click on Start.
- In the Keyboards and Languages tab, click on Change Keyboards.
- Add your preferred language.
- Select the checkbox for French (Canada) while expanding the keyboard list.
- Click OK.
