Quale APN per Vodafone?
To configure the APN (Access Point Name) for PosteMobile and Vodafone SIMs in Italy as of 2025:
For PosteMobile, the official still-current settings are:
- APN: wap.postemobile.it (default for most users) [5].
- Alternative APN: internet.postemobile.it (sometimes used for data-only/hotspot use—designated as “DUN”) [5].
- Name: PosteMobile [4] [5].
- Username/Password/Proxy/Port: Leave blank unless specified by your device or operator [4] [5].
- APN type: default,ia,supl, fota (adjustable to your device’s requirements) [5].
- APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6 (recommended) [5].
- MCC: 222 / MNC: 10 (should autofill, don’t alter unless instructed) [5].
According to PosteMobile’s 2025 plans, connectivity is mostly on Vodafone’s 4G/4G+ network, but for APN settings you still use wap.postemobile.it—not Vodafone’s APN [3] [5] [9].
For Vodafone Italy (if using a native Vodafone SIM, not PosteMobile):
- APN: web.omnitel.it (standard for Vodafone Italy) [8].
- Leave all other fields blank unless specified by Vodafone.
If using a Vodafone device (e.g., Smart V10) with a PosteMobile SIM, you must manually set the above PosteMobile APN as device defaults might prioritize Vodafone settings [7].
Some modern plans may have variations for MMS, tethering, or advanced data features, but the above are the main 2025 official configurations. If you experience issues, verify with PosteMobile customer support or on their website, but these values reflect current published guidance.
For roaming, charges and data access may differ and still use wap.postemobile.it as the APN [9].
In summary:
- PosteMobile SIM (regardless of network used for signal): use wap.postemobile.it as APN.
- Vodafone SIM: use web.omnitel.it as APN.
- Don’t use Vodafone’s APN for a PosteMobile SIM, even if roaming on Vodafone’s coverage [3] [5].
